Composition for interior scene of ship breakdown:
Research
http://www.brianlemay.com/Pages/animationschool/animation/breakassignments/layout.html
Coin issues resolved with mapping and uv's:
This was more research to help me understand the purpose of each map and how each is used and when to use them when texturing and Uv'ing

Adding coins to the chest :
The assortment of coins with day and night lighting we will be using in the actual scene:
This was done manually as i could create patterns and spread out the coins so that there would be variation and i could randomise it to look the way i want it to.
I could have done it this way which would have been more effective and was the same method piers used for his coins in the keyhole castle project.
Outcome:
Version one chest with lid slightly open and then version 2 was chest full open
2- 3 layers of overlapping coins caused slight increase in render time
Alternative versions of chest for the Scene:
Toppled on Side :
This took alot more time manual fixing over laps of coins and such etc. much lighter and easier to render and run
Chest on its front:
This froze as there was to many coins and layers to create the cascading and spreading effect
Problems that occurred: What i learnt from each -
Render time : Any where between 3 minutes to 20 or a error would occur run time or syntax that would cancel the render along with the maps for the coins being lost or unrecogniseable.
Errors:
Combining just Group all together as it doesn't recognise the ai surface shaders:
Texture map directory keeps changing anomaly it works on laptop but didn't on the mac:
I looked at this and the alternative way to do the coins like the way Pier's is doing it for his group work so i decided to read up on the process and found this :
